A SEED CALLED CANCER
A SEED CALLED CANCER
A young successful man,
Nothing could make him fall,
Happiness at his footsteps;
One thing changed it all.A seed within him planted-
That sucked out his energy,
Releasing toxic chemicals,
Growing at his expense.
All it gave him
Was endless agony and pain,
All efforts to save him
Proved to be in vain.
Slowly it grew and it grew,
And spread out its branches,
Clinging to him like tentacles,
The tentacles of death.
It poisoned his blood,
It weakened his body;
The fruit it bore,
Grew and killed more.
While the body did wither,
While the body did groan,
The soul remained untouched,
It strengthened and shone.
A ray of hope
Shone right through it,
Making it immortal,
So that it lit.

- Such beautiful words. Take a bow Bhoomika, for the kind of optimism you've associated a deadly seed called Cancer with! :)
